Baramulla:Two infants are known to have died in a hospital run by the government in Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir. It is alleged that this happened due to non-availability of electricity for more than two hours.
The families of the infants have alleged that their babies had been on ventilator support when the power supply went off. It was alleged that the hospital officials had not turned the generator on for more than two hours. This instance is said to have taken place on Friday evening.
The mother of one of the babies blamed the superintendent saying that he killed the infant due to this negligence. The was not even a candle, not even a nurse. The parents of the kids were said to have been holding mobile phones for light. Nobody even bothered to turn on the generator, which led to the death of the infants.
