New Delhi: Sheila Dixit is at it again. Thought slightly dated, Ek Tamacha, wanted to bring this news to all. Shiela Dixit claims that Rs. 600 is enough to support a family of five. She has stoked the controversy, while the Congress government is busy projecting its commitment to the aam aadmi (common man) through schemes like direct cash transfer for the poor. She was speaking on the launch of the Annshree Yojana, the cash-for-food programme. In her economics, Rs 600 can buy enough “dal, roti, chawal”, to feed a poor family of five.
Sheila jee’s one among the many faux pas / slip-ups or was it some maths that only she has found the equation and answer to?
